Rate Bowl AZ Weather

8 days out, forecast to RAIN on Thursday and Friday next week (Game Day)! WTF?! Everyday sunshine’s and is dry, EXCEPT for the weekend that we’ll be there!? Most likely will change and dry up but very annoying.

Also it’s my understanding that Chase Field’s roof was repaired recently to be able to open or close in inclement weather. At least we’ll be dry inside for the game. If having rain in AZ while we’re there isn’t irritating enough, imagine adding getting rained on during the game?

We’ve had an incredible December weather so far, most days in the high 70’s and bright blue skies, a shame if that changes when MN fans get to town.

The field was an absolute disaster. I think that's the main concern.

Of course some rain is no biggy but most of us are coming from wintery climate so LOTS of AZ sun is highly desired.

Seems like Friday is drying up but not as sunny.

Yes, they had parachutists deliver the flag in the pouring rain. I was sitting in the temporary seats behind the Gopher bench and was directly below where the roof sections meet. It was not a water tight seal and big rain drops were hitting seats all around me for the entire night.

Did it rain at the 2021 bowl game?

It rained before the game and the dome was kept open. New sod had been laid and hadn't taken well. The field turned to slop; big chunks of turf came up when players cut. It was actually dangerous for the players. The offenses went very conservative because of field conditions and player safety. Big error by the sponsors.
