Ranking the Big Ten's quarterbacks from worst to first heading into 2025 (18. Drake Lindsey (Minnesota))

As I said in another thread there is plenty of reason to be skeptical, but I would be shocked if he finishes as the 18th best QB in the conference.
Having actually read the article it's obvious (by the writer's own admission) that he favors experience. He ranked Raiola 15th last year for that reason. He doesn't give much higher rated and heavily recruited inexperienced QBs much higher ratings. There are, frankly, quite a few dogs in the B1G that, while experienced, weren't exactly world beaters (AK for instance). So it would be very disappointing if our guy finishes in the bottom quarter of QBs.

How often do the aforementioned schools plan to start a lightly recruited 3 star QB with only a handful of meaningless snaps under his belt? Is there a bigger question mark at QB in the B1G right now?
Stop using logic when some of us are just trying to do the Lord’s work and expose the national media dinks for their relentless Gopher hate.

haven't read the entire thread, but Marcus Mariota was a three star QB when he came to Oregon

And I think Drake was an 89 on 24/7 (just shy of a 4-star).
And the similarly situated guys (no experience or meaningful experience) who actually garnered 4 stars fare little better in this article. Its hard to argue with the author's ranking based on his stated preferred methodology (experience) and then recruiting ranking. But, looking at the retreads that seem to fill out the broad middle of the rankings, it would be very disappointing if our guy doesn't finish at least somewhere in the middle third after the actual games are played.

I thought he was a 4* player but could be wrong. If I remember he did not have an impressive offer list either.

Maybe not a disaster but certainly not fun to watch for me. How about disappointing?
Also the funny thing is that if Drake put up the same numbers that AK did last year people will be happy.

Naw...in August...I think Drake is going to be a good. Different than Brosmer but something like that level to watch.

AK had 18tds 7ints and I think about 2600 yards…I think most would be happy with that.

Poor completion % though

Brosmer was definitely better than AK and I would be ecstatic if Drake was as good as Brosmer this year…

Weird. 247 had him a 91 rated 4*. But I’m sure opinions vary between sites
How ever you cut it, he was a three star. I hadn't seen the four star rating before. Regardless, Mariota was a great college QB and he wasn't one of the top ranked QBs coming out of HS. Still I'll always love the guy, he was a great Duck. Plus, I know a little "hole in the wall" dinner that he use to hang out in and it was just him being a "local" with other "locals", he was/is a good human being. Nuff said.

The TEQB is in the past.

Let's just put it this way, these useless scribes would have Drake much higher if he was the anointed starter for Nebby.
These ratings mean nothing. Drake will be fine.
Might want to check the victim card. Dylan Raiola was a lot higher rated and this guy had him 15 last year. Michigan guy this year is 12.
