Per Cory:

18. Drake Lindsey (Minnesota)

Going into P.J. Fleck's ninth season in Minneapolis, the Golden Gophers are going to enter 2025 with the inexperienced Drake Lindsey. A member of the 2024 recruiting class, the redshirt freshman fended off Georgia Tech transfer Zach Pyron in the spring, but there are still plenty of question marks.

Go Gophers!!

As I said in another thread there is plenty of reason to be skeptical, but I would be shocked if he finishes as the 18th best QB in the conference.
Agreed. We had a howitzer mounted on a potato two years ago who finished around middle of the pack in a ton of metrics within the conference.

This has to be fallout from us touting for the better part of a year and a half AK and having him be so god-awful. I’m super optimistic about our guy!!

Yep and in a 12 team league AK was:
8th in yards
7th in TD's
10th in Comp %
9th in rating

And we thought he was very disappointing.

Don't care at all about how a MSU blogger ranks a QB he's never seen before

From our recent games with Sparty Darius Taylor could QB and we'll win by 2 TD

When there are so many unknows with so many of these players it is silly to try and rank them 1-18. Tiers is a far better way to go.

Lots of questions with Drake as is the case with many of the others on this list, could go any number of different ways for a bunch of them.

That would require thinking, instead of AI doing your work and not having editorial feedback anymore.

Hopefully Edwards has a similar first half against us this year.

The pessimistic view of Drake might reflect a combination of (1) his relative youth and inexperience; (2) the fact that we will have many new starters on the OL, inc at LT; and (3) that 80% of our WR catches from last year
have moved on. But, somehow, I think we wil be better on the OL, that we will have a good WR corps, and that our running game will improve (helping our passing game). And Drake has the arm to produce some explosive passing plays (missing last year). Csn’t wait for the season!

Good point. Thankfully we are getting closer to the end of filler season where these worthless lists and rankings get published all the time. Once camp starts up there is actual news to start following with teams.
