I can't believe how quiet the board is this close to signing day. Usually it is none stop recruiting news when signing day is this close. I know many feel we have a good base recruiting class ... especially with a few of the guys that didn't get in last year and the transfers ... but I'm hoping for a couple "good" surprises on signing day.:)

I agree - it is eerily quiet. I have been looking for a surprise or two to show up in the last week or so - let's hope it is a positive one.

I also think that if you take the recruits that didn't make it into school last year, last year's class would be top 40 or 50; then if you add them to this year's class it would be top twenty. And that doesn't count the 2 transfers that will be able to start playing against Air Force. In any case, the talent level will be significantly better next year.

Most recruits have already signed, really not much to talk about. I'm guessing that Brew signs a couple more but I'm guessing they won't be earth shattering. Hopefully Trabis Ward is among the late signers.

No one has signed

They may have given a verbal committment. They may have put a hat on. Or even said it down to two or three schools. Talk is cheap. Thats why there is a National Signing Day.

yeah i hope everyone that is verbaled here stays on board. jeff wills is the only one that is sure as of yet as he has signed his LOI

Keep what we have

Yep ... it is just a strange feeling I'm getting. Hope we don't get any late de-commits and we get a couple of good kids we didn't know were on the radar. As others have said in other posts I hope we don't hand out scholarships to kids because we are settling for somewhat less than was our goal. Save them for next year.

It was nice to play the bowl game but it really hurt us this year because of the two late coordinator departures. Bad timing for the final push. I'm not expecting a surprise. More I am braced for a negative surprise. I can't see either of the co's having a line on anybody to get. I only see negative impact for this year. Positive for the future.
