Quick MTSU preview - see what you think

Do you know if MTSU is scheduled to play UT vols in football in the near future?

I know they did in the past but it's not in our future as of now. I know the Vanderbilt vs. MTSU rival will be back in a few years. They hate us for beating them at home 3 years in a row. They may be rich and smart, but by God, they can't play football. I know MT plays Minnesota at Minnesota for the first game next season. I'm already planning my trip. Any good places to stay or places to go while I'm there? BTW, if you're traveling tomorrow, please be safe!!! We don't want anyone hurt traveling or on the field. Less than 24 hours guys...I'm pumped!

I wouldn't plan your trip to Minnesota just yet.

Cancel My Last Post. This is the updated one. I went back and double checked everything.

Yes. It's listed that we play them again starting next year. Don't know if that's set in stone or not. Here's the website... http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/sun-belt/middle-tennessee-blue-raiders.php I don't know how accurate that website is though.

Thanks. My dad was the one that told me on the phone today. He probably just read wrong.

-We play @ Tennessee next season in a 1 game deal.

-You'll have to wait until 2017 to see an MT game in Minnesota.

-We're scheduled to host Georgia Tech next season in the 2nd game of a 2/1 deal.

-We'll start playing Vandy again in 2015 through at least 2018, hosting the odd years.

You guys should bring the band of blue when you do come. I hear they have a big sound and play some funky stuff.

Depending on money, the band usually travels to the "big schools" to perform. Hopefully by then, MTSU will have enough money to send them to almost every away game. They definitely play some funky stuff and are NOT your traditional band. They also wear baseball caps instead of plumes (the hats with the feathers) because it's more laid back. Professor Cornish (the band director) realizes that people come to college football games to be entertained and to have fun. Not to be bored. I think that's why the MTSU band has always been funky. It's definitely all for the crowd.

This is random but the band would always have an announcer give a speech before each performance. When we played "Blues Brothers" for a halftime show, we said the speech from Blues Brothers..."I've got a full tank of gas, half pack of cigarettes...etc." Of course, we changed it a little bit. But, my favorite speech ever was when I danced as a junior. We did a Gloria Estefan show and the speech told everyone in the audience to look under their seats to see if they find something. And from the field, watching the audience, was hilarious. People were all bent over just digging under their seat trying to find something. Then the announcer came back on and said "Yep, that's it! You've found your groove thing!" Haha. It was great entertainment for the band, majorettes, and dance team before we performed. I've always thought that was just a great joke to play on an audience.
