The NFL Network has chosen Ga. Southern and Coastal Carolina to play on their network tonight at 7:00 PM. Both teams are in the Sun Belt Conference but are D1 G5 teams. Maybe the NFL Network had an opening and wanted to fill the slot. What could the answer be??? Coastal Carolina has been a good addition to the Sun Belt, but neither team is a great team with GSU 3-1 and Coastal 2-2..
 


For 2023, the NFL Network has a 10 game sub-license deal with ESPN to show games from the Mid-American, Sun Belt and American Athletic conferences. I think basically NFL Network can sub-license any game from those conferences not already being shown by ESPN/2/U/ABC, and that would otherwise just be shown on ESPN+. For lack of a better answer, I guess NFL Network liked this game better than the alternatives (e.g. Texas State/Southen Mississippi, Troy/Georgia State, East Carolina/Rice, etc).

Speaking of the NFL Network ... Chiefs ahead of the Jets 17 to 5 midway through the second quarter. Taylor Swift in attendance getting smashed.
