Curious as to why so much worry about what other teams do, shouldn't we just worry about ourselvesw and play our way in instead of hoping Illinois or whomever else loses...

Dude, we are fans!! It is our job to play out all possible scenarios, and look ahead and hope, etc.

Now, if the players start looking past teams, that is another matter entirely.
