would the money we make for letting them play there go directly to the football program or could we use it towards upgrading the basketball facilities?

It'll go toward purchasing a space for the synchronized under-water knitting team.

Some of it will go to the "Pam Borton Buy Out" so we can say Good Riddance to Bad Rubish.

give it to Nanne and get the whole sports complex built. the cash flow from that should be put towards the whole sports program and all sprots would benefit from getting that complex built.

the improvements to TCF will benefit the football program.

What about all the money from BTN? Where does that go?

Most organizations would recognized that as revenues earned for the department and the cash would go on the balance sheet. How the dollars are used is usually determined by the board through the budgeting process or some other approval process.

But I do know from the former and deceased vice president of finance Gus Donhowe at U that the University accounting system is a nightmare with all kinds of "special funds" that departments would use. That is why Gus started to follow the money to understand the U's finances. He learned a lot by doing that. So your question is a very good one.

You're assuming the U will profit. This is the same organization that lost money selling $8 beers.
