I know, I know.

It's my one pet peave. I promise the next few times I hear someone say something like "4.5 isn't fast enough for WR in the Big 10", "you can't play LB in the Big 10 if you run a 4.7", or "he moves ok, I mean he runs a 4.4 40"....I will let someone else take it.
 


I wouldn't doubt his 40 time is accurate. I am a high school coach and although we do our own 40s, most college prospects attend college camps where they get their college "measurables" like a 40 time. There is certain requirements about the start, shoes, etc that college coaches use that a normal high school does not when taking a 40 time.

I also coach track, so I am aware that all hand held times have to add .24 to be considered FAT. So if you are doing your own, to be close to accurate, you would have to add .24 to your 40 time.

Poor Harold Howell. He was here for a semester almost 4 years ago, yet he continues to be a proxy punching bag for Brewster. I wonder if he is aware of his unusual place in gopher fans' hearts.

Haha seriously. And really, I didn't question his speed, he actually looked like he had some jets out there. He was just so small, he went down so easily, couldn't break a tackle if someone got even a hand on him it felt like.

The Brewster hype machine needs to take the blame for the Harold Howell situation, it's impossible to really evaluate a a true freshman. I am sure there are a lot of really good players who would've looked small and weak as true freshman.
 


I think I remember reading in the PIoneer Press a couple years when Berrian first came to the Vikes that Berrian ran a 4.55. So yes, a 4.44 is blazing for a big ten receiver.

I believe that's a recruiting violation for fans to send messages to recruits. Not 100% sure on this, but pretty sure.

Minnesota football has the worst luck...how many other teams have a deranged individual posing as a fan of their team trying to convince high school recruits to go there? And who employs this guy?

I remember last year when the Gophers almost stole James Louis away from Ohio State before signing day, Pantherhick was talkin sh!t about the Gophers on his FB page. What a d-bag tool, he friends all the kids Minnesota is recruiting and post his propaganda on thier page. I dont think it has much of an effect if any but its still something most schools dont have to deal with. I doubt there is some lame Gophers fan out there creeping all the Iowa recruits. I laugh at the poor guy, 40 yrs old still never been past 1st base other than with his cousin, harry potter/jedi enthusiast.

Also, you missed Drew Goodger, Herve Coby, Juwan Brescacin, Matt Hegarty, Ramik Wilson, Trayion Durham, and Turmour Battle by my count. These were all guys that we were recruiting or are still recruiting.

I think someone should make a Facebook profile for a recruit that doesn't have a profile yet, and

a. see how long it takes him to find you
b. see what kind of private messages he sends
c. report back to the Gopherhole
