Quarterback Competition Heating Up

The coaches have come right out and said the main reason Parish is ahead of Moses is that he has a better understanding of the offense. Moses has all summer to learn the offense and give himself a chance to compete for the QB job. It is really up to him if he gets to play QB.

I hope Moses lights the fire under his (butt) and gets himself going. Sounds like he has the arm strength, but is a bit lacking in accuracy (which can be coached) and internal motivation (his dad's comment about Moses needing to work gave me the impression that maybe Moses has been on a bit of cruise control, which would explain the balooning weight). If he doesn't have the drive, switching positions may not make much of a difference. If he doesn't love football, he doesn't love it. Not much you can do about that.

But, here's to hoping he gets his butt in gear! Would rather have more options at QB than less.
