johnson was honestly fun to watch tonight, how bout rodneys d all night on moore, he wasnt shooting good, but rodney was in his face most of the night...
 

Hell of a game. I thought the crowd might storm the court. That was intense.
 

Really weird game looking at the box score. Even turnovers. Purdue destroyed the Gophers on the boards, wasn't expecting that.

Very few games simply come down to hitting and defending shots. But that was one of them.

Yeah it seemed the Gophs lost every 50/50 ball. How many possessions did Purdue keep alive by gathering a loose ball in the 2nd half!?! Great game though to watch.
 

Gopher offense: beat the 8th ranked team in the country, scored 70 points against the "best" scoring defense, and shot 53% and 43% from 3. Complainer.

Haha, it's not to quote you, it's just that I can't write it seriously without quotation marks right now because I think those stats are bogus at this point in the season. It comes down to who you've played. I'm not sure where that stat was from but I'm also not sure if it takes tempo into account. I've been impressed with Purdue's defense (against weak teams), I just don't think they're a top 5 defensive team.

I know why you're using them. It's from KenPom so of course it's tempo-adjusted.

Also, you may actually want to talk up the defense you just scored 70 on. Just saying.
 

Great win, very fun game to watch. With Iowa coming on Sunday we should be able to get to .500 in the Big Ten. Go Gophers.
 



Didn't know the stats were from from KenPom. I know you guys have a really good defense, but my point still stands about those stats being pretty damn misleading for some teams at this point in the season.

I was hoping we did not. When 25 beats 8, there is no reason to storm the court. We are good enough that this was not a huge upset. Same way Wisconsin and MSU didn't storm the court when they beat us.
