Press Conference Feedback

I agree with your opinion that more hate was due to the way the search was handled and more importantly Maturi...

I just dont want to see any more losses to the Jackrabbits and/or Coyotes!! HAHA

Maturi set the expectation way beyond what he was able to meet. JK is a good hire and I'm getting more enthused every time I hear something new about him. We were never going to get Urban Meyer, Mac Brown or Nick Saban. Go Gophers.

Its funny how the people on this board have already reversed their thoughts about this guy after watching 1 press conference...just weird how you can hate him one day and love em the next. True Minnesota Fans...

just my 2 cents..

Uhmmmmm....**cough**. Some people here supported a Coach Kill hiring even before we got him. I wanted him since I started watching his video clips on his coaching philosophies and strategies almost a month ago, and there were other posters here very supportive of Kill well before he was even a mentioned candidate.

Not that it really matters, but it seems like there's an awful lot of painting with a very broad brush around here lately.

Seems like I have had it for awhile myself Seaney. Darn thing just won't go away!

Is his wife really that attractive??

She is to him and that's all that matters!

(Had a buddy who would "grade" women, and he'd always say, "My wife being a 10, she's an 8.5". Kept him out of a lot of trouble!)

I have no inside info but I just saw...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jerry Kill's name in an article about N. Illinois comeback this season from a bad start.

While JM wants a Tubby type hire, he's not going to get it....Leach is toxic and Fullmer is on the way downhill. And if you think Harbaugh is coming here you're smoking something illegal! Those Mississippi guys just want raises/extensions so they get there name thrown out. Guy's like Trestman & Gruden are NFL types.

The reality is you're going to have to take a chance on somebody and a guy like Jerry Kill is probably within reach and has the experience you're looking for...building a program into a winner. Hoke, Calhoun, Sumlin...maybe Edsal and maybe even a good coordinator. These are the highest level you're going to reach. And frankly, I'm not for a guy from Temple...I mean Temple?? Do the Owls even play football?

(BTW If they choose him, I'll deny ever having posted this and support him completely)

You have to take a chance on someone and Jerry Kill just might be a home run.

GO GOPHERS!
