Here is my prediction to have 4 home and 4 away while keeping previous scheduled game intact.
Oct. 24th Host Purdue
Oct. 31st at Illinois
Nov. 7th at WI or NE
Nov. 14th Host Northwestern
Nov. 21st at Maryland
Nov. 28th Host Michigan
Dec. 5th at WI or NE
Dec. 12th Host Iowa

Dec. 19th cross over game

I’m honestly surprised they went 9 games.
I thought they’d go 6+1 instead of 8+1

that would give you two reschedule dates if you operate on the same calendar.


I’m curious how they will place teams that end up playing only 6 games?

what if wisconsin is 5-0 and never plays Minnesota and Minnesota is 6-1....who would go to the championship game?

I’m sure this was alldiscussed but will be interested to see what the rules will
 



I wonder if they'll try to put divisional games, especially rivalry games, first so they can bump the crossover games and reschedule divisional games if needed.

There's a decent chance that not every team will have played the same number of games so if they prioritize the divisional games and treat the two crossovers as extras if they can play them, they could decide the seeding for the 12/19 games just from conference games and the uneven number of games wouldn't be an issue.

That would mean potentially having worse/meaningless games at the end of the season if games don't get moved around but the original schedule had the game against Wisconsin earlier in the season anyway so it seems like they don't care about rivalry week any more.

They did this to give as much chance for a B1G bid in the CFP. No way a team with only 7 wins, though undefeated, is considered over teams who played 9 or 10 games.

As for my prediction for the schedule, 1 I think all division games will be played first. That way, worst case scenario a division game can't be played during a week they could cancel a cross divison game so that the division standings don't have any unbreakable ties. I also think they will try to put rivalry games earlier rather than later so that they can get them out of the way and not worry about a big rivalry game getting delayed or cancelled due to a team outbreak.

That said, here's my prediction for us without Home or Away predictions:

Oct. 24th wisconsin or Iowa
Oct. 31st wisconsin or Iowa (whoever we don't play first week)
Nov. 7th at NE
Nov. 14th Illinois
Nov. 21st Purdue
Nov. 28th Northwestern
Dec. 5th Michigan
Dec. 12th MSU

Dec. 19th cross over game
 

They could just leave the games as they were scheduled from Oct. 24 on as is and add 3 more after that and 1 on the bye week. Those games would be:
Purdue
at Illinois
bye (insert game here)
Northwestern
at Maryland

With an odd number of teams in each division, there will be a minimum of one crossover game played each week.
 


I just want Michigan in there so we can get all of our trophies back!

I’m betting no one will be playing home games after the Thanksgiving weekend. All games will be in the three domes.

You'd think it would be the same eight teams as originally scheduled. Or crossover games against Michigan and Michigan State could be replaced with Rudgers and Indiana. That would get our rivals in a tizzy.
 

Heard Coyle on with Barreiro. Coyle is on the scheduling committee. wouldn't give any details, but I got the impression that they are doing the schedules from square one - the old schedules are out the door and they're re-doing everything. Coyle said the schedule will be out "as soon as possible." could be this week, but he would not commit to when it will be out.

Shoot - just saw this in a Gopher Illustrated Story:

The Big Ten could play some games on Monday and Friday nights on FOX and FS1, Wisconsin athletics director Barry Alvarez said Wednesday.

How wacky is this schedule going to get?
 

Hard not to think of Johnny Carson or Jim Wacker when wondering about wacky.

I say let's try Tuesday night football if that gets the games played. That's wacky.

With Barry Alvarez in charge of the scheduling committee, will the Gophers play at Ohio State and against either Penn State or Michigan in the cross over games while Wisconsin plays Rutgers in a home and home series?

Maybe hinting at DOME games. I heard previously they were looking at Syracuse and St. Louis for games sites as well.
 

The Big Ten would be extremely foolish to not have the Little Brown Jug game be played.

I'm predicting Maryland and Michigan.

As for the 9th game, it would be against Ohio State or Penn State.
