the reminder they need to not overlook non conference games.
Joey king
He came in raw and has evolved into good low post for us. He's blocking really well. Nerves come with every freshman.*
We turned the ball over too much. But we did w good job taking care of business
Deandre Mathieu:
He's like a pro, bring it every day, he's really showing it. Right now, he's killing it, the best stretch I've see him play.*He's a scorer, I hope he continues to do what he's doing.
Hollins
On not over looking NC opponents: It's easier now with the current events coming in, like the Michigan Nebraska loses. We're not going to have that here. We're looking at the bigger picture*
It's key getting Bakary time, everybody is important with lack of depth.
On playing well with Mathieu: It's just chemistry. The injury really hampered me last year, and we're gelling like we did at the beginning of the game last year.*
Mo Walker
I asked Mo if he tends to play better when he's receiving a lot of criticism: Of course, I always keep that stuff in my back pocket.*
Dre is not going to have more dunks than*me
Richard Pitino:
• I thought last game we probably played the best all around game, the best 40 minutes. I'm not so sure tonight was really the case. I was playing a lot of different line-ups, trying to tinker. I don't know how much we grew tonight to be honest.
• I played Buggs at the 3 all night tonight, for Morris, Nate, it's important for those guys to grow.
• On Andre Hollins - I think he's been playing really really hard all season. We put in a few different things to get him different looks. He's been playing extremely intense. Phenomenal chemistry between Hollins and Mathieu, they have been the two guys that have set the tone during every game.
• We have been taking better shots. We can be an extremely efficient offensive team. I think we're top 25 in DER. If we didn't turn the ball over, we'd be extremely efficient.
• DeAndre is getting a lot of assists. 23 assists is great, we're passing it better.
• They see the scores, they see what Michigan is going through. This time of year is very difficult. I just saw Incarnate Word beat Nebraska. All they need to do is see it. Tough time of year for everybody.
• Hollins - I heard Rachel got hurt, I hope it's nothing too serious, seems like it's a lot worse than a sprained ankle. I don't think we have a best player, we have a collection of good ones. I think it's important that he shoots the ball well.
• I'd like for everyone to elevate their games.
• On Konate - I haven't really seen significant improvement. The only way for him to improve is playing in games like this. He plays hard and has good size, tonight is a valuable experience.
• We don't have a game until next Friday, academics are important this time of year. Tomorrow we'll give them off to focus on that. We'll give them a few days off next week, but academics are
