Yep. And it’s an inherent part of the game. This virus isn’t. The liability for this will be a huge factor in their decision making.

Why do you think schools/conferences/the NCAA will be held liable?

If a football player dies from an injury on the field it's really easy to trace it back to the event that caused it. If a football player gets Coronavirus and dies there are many places outside of football he could have gotten it and no way of proving he got it from anything football-related.

Will we have a 2020 Football Season?

I expect so, yes, assuming the vast majority of the nation has successfully employed social distancing measures and takes appropriate measures in public. That might be expecting too much out of my fellow Americans, though.
