Plitzuweit's assistant coaches

Can you blame them? I, like most people, hate losing nice things.

That’s not what happened at South Dakota. We were very excited for her to move on to a bigger conference, as the next step in her career. She turned our program around in the six years she was there. She increased the level of competition of the nonconference schedule, including several very good programs every year. We played South Carolina for three years in a row. We played Oklahoma and Utah twice, Iowa State, Missouri, Texas A&M, Northwestern, and several others in the last three years she was there. That non-con scheduling is what helped our players to develop, which resulted in our sweet 16 run last year. South Dakota now has a good young coach, but they unfortunately had a very bad rash of injuries this past year. A lot of talent sat on the bench. As these players become healthy, and the younger ones develop, I am looking forward to a much improved season record next year.
