I would've been fine with moving the semifinals to Saturday this year. Just don't move the Rose Bowl out of its traditional time slot. I already take issue with my favorite sporting event not being Big Ten vs. Pac-12 every third season, even though it has been soiled with an overdose of Badger and Hawkeye stink in recent years.

New Year's Eve 2016 is a Saturday, so there will be significantly less complaining.
 

I loved the article. Last year was the best bowl season ever. A good "new years six" game on New Years Eve but overall the best games were on New Years day. This will suck. I am a hard core college football fan but I am not going to skip our traditional new year's party. Sure, I will find a TV somewhere but it won't be the same. And most people won't try as hard as I will. Ratings will suck. But this should all be expected from the same people that took a gazillion years to have any kind of football playoff at all. Of course they will find a way to screw it up now that it is here.
