All my life I have been told I couldn't do things.
"He'll never play high school ball. He is too small."
"He'll never play Division I football. He's too small, slow and too weak."
"Pro football? You've got to be crazy!"
Sitting in my classrooms telling teachers that I wanted to play in the NFL, many told me to pick something else because it is rare that anyone from Kaneland High School makes it.
Challenge and competition are two words that have made me who I am today. Well, mini-camp is a challenge and very competitive.
And many people might say 'Oh, it will be easy for him to make the team.' Well, it is not that simple where you can just walk in and take a spot from someone. It must be earned.
