Mafe poised for a big year...thinks he may be back in Indy for NFL Combine after this year...will blow up.

Really likes this team. Leadership, experience. In year five, this is what it starts to look like. Didn't lose one coach in off-season.

May have four linemen drafted, maybe five.

Sounds like he really likes Gibbens, Pinckney, Trickett and Mobley.

Psyched to play OSU with a sold out crowd.

Far and away the most positive he's been. Hard not to have very high expectations after listening.
 

Any way you look at it, the Gophers are a dangerous team.

Conclusions based on PJ's comments here and at Big Ten media day:
He expects this to be his best football team...can't control wins and losses but a fun team and really good! Way More excited than he normally is, which is significant.

He did not say nobody is beating Tanner out but essentially he did. Tanner's leadership is elite and the way he has dealt with his father's health journey and his death...Tanner is the guy.

Trey Potts sounds like our number 2 RB based on Mo's comments.

PJ is excited to play Ohio State in the opener... he will have the boys prepared.
PJ is very proud of his 9 offensive linemen who have started a Big Ten game.

10 starters back on offense and defense...think about that. "We were two plays away from 5 and 2 last year."

Ryan Burns from 247 was in Chicago and has some good stuff up from PJ. Tanner. Boye, and Mo. Some gleanings:

PJ seems very happy with T-Smith improvements as a corner...PJ noted Nubin looking better...PJ likes some of the young corners

PJ seems to think SoriMarin will be much improved and he likes Gibbens

Sounds like PJ, Tanner, Mo think SpannFord could have big year...weight room gains, skills improvements, attitude improvement

from various interviews, get idea Griffin could be really good...liatening to Boye Mafe, he seems dialed in

PJ likes transfer kickers, and healthier Walker

better play at cb, s, lb, dt, de, k would be huge

getting te involved in passing game would be nice
