I'll let you guys speculate. PJ and Heather were on a 6:10AM flight departing Las Vegas on Sunday morning, seats 3C and 3D to be exact. PJ with his hoodie up, watching ESPN, HEather watching HGTV. Halfway through the flight, I notice Heather nudging PJ, he sits up and she's pointing at her screen. PJ flips over from ESPN to HGTV. They are watching a home tour of a house on the lake right outside of Madison.

You and I have as much chance of becoming head coach at Wisconsin as this thread.

You sure your name isn't stalker?

Even if one were to take this thread seriously, why the hell would Fleck want to go to WI? That move would make no sense on any level. Lateral move to a program that if Fickell is fired would be in internal turmoil versus a program that Fleck has been at for 8 seasons and brought to a stable and successful point. I reserve that I think the only college program in the country Fleck would ever voluntarily leave for would be Ohio State. Maybe, maybe Notre Dame.

Wow!! PJ and Heather are interested in Lake homes in the upper Midwest. Maybe they should look at getting one in the Twin Cities (oh thats right they do). I bet next time you are on a flight you will notice Heather watching a show about plastic surgeon in Iowa City and the speculation will begin.

Can confirm through a friend that the two of them left MSP to LAS on Thursday evening probably for enjoyable short trip on bye week. If I was watching HGTV a national show would probably point out anything showing a WI home. Believe Notre Dame is dream job and would not leave for another B1G job except for Michigan. Who knows maybe MN is now dream job unless looking for another challenge.

Perhaps they are looking to see what others have done with their lake home. Something that I would do if I had that kind of money.

Was it open concept? Enough room for entertaining guests? Extra bedroom for when the parents visit?

Seriously? This is Minnesota, not exactly a hotbed for CFB. I say this as someone who likes Fleck and hope he stays here another decade...

So you are saying if any of these other programs came calling he would not leave:

Michigan
Penn State
Oklahoma
Florida State
Florida
Oregon
USC
LSU

think these all depend on the payday and if they'd let him do his schtick. Obviously if the payday is high enough it wouldn't matter, but I can't see boosters at many of these schools being pumped about rowing the boat and "changing the culture". that is more tolerated at a school like MN. It's also why I could never see him at ND unless he decides he can drop that though maybe he can spin RTB and Touchdown Jesus together.

but yes, PJ would leave for all of those schools as i'd assume they'd pay higher if all other things are equal to here

They let Fickell come in and completely change the culture. He's more of a change to the football philosophy than PJ would be compared to Fickell's predecessors.

WI is the same tier as MN regardless of what they say. WI was not on the list in posters list

McIntosh came in like a wrecking ball. Wanted to get his young career off with a bang. Mission accomplished.

OP was about Wisconsin so I was referring to that.

Well there are 30 seconds of my life I will never get back. If you are going to post a stupid/pointless thread at least make it entertaining....this is just dumb.

Complaining about wasting 30 seconds of your life while you're here, with us, on a college football forum of a middling program is...chef's kiss

Disagree completely....come here to talk Gopher football....and the hope is that when someone goes to the trouble of starting a new thread it is about something relevant to the program in some way.....this thread....not so much.

First - I believe all but PSU has replaced their coach since Fleck came to Minnesota, and to my knowledge the only one that there was a sniff/rumor of contact was Oregon. Second - I can't see any being interested in Fleck's schtick. Third - Fleck would have to have several more 10 win seasons for any of these to have him in their top-5 targets.
