GI has rumored that there are raises for his staff as well.
I assume that's the case with every extension.

You give a coach a raise, or even hire one, and you're also talking about his people. HC wants his guys and knows that has to happen too.

Since WWII, PJ has the highest win% of any Gopher coach ever. Do we all want to win a few more games, sure, but this era has been as good as any in our last 75 years so kind of have to do this.

The only thing I guess i didnt see, I am fine with the extension, but on these I do hope/wish they would raise the buyout. Hey we are committing to you, but we want that in return, you say you arent leaving, cool jack that buyout up.

I hope the staff raises are substantial for key positions. Rossi, Burns, Simon, Collins, Haynes. Rossi and Burns are the two most likely to be in the mix for head coach jobs somewhere. Collins could be an up and coming DC somewhere.

It is both expected and a good thing. With the new contracts being awarded to guys like Rhule and Fickell, and the scope of probable new, large contracts for Brohm's successor and perhaps in a Bielema extension, it is simply the price of doing business--and keeping up. New TV contract has upped the ante.

Is Fleck now 4th in Tenure in the Conference?

It should’ve come with the caveat that before he could sign the contract Coyle would kick PJ hard and square in the nuts for the coaching malpractice that he threw out there in at least three games this year. He gives us the BS my fault, I am accountable nonsense after these games and then he gets rewarded like this. I get it’s the cost of doing business, but it feels shitty.

It really doesn't.

I agree 100% with this post...

Coyle knows it will renew every 1-2 years and will have to payout $10M when he is fired or $10M if someone else hires him. There is no way around that budgeting, unless there is cause for firing.

I think it feels great, sorry to hear you are disappointed.
