PJ Fleck press conference ahead of Rutgers

Not sure how to interpret PJ's mood...yes, he is professional enough to be polite and courteous.
But he was impatient, frustrated, annoyed or bored with his duties. Was it the Cal performance?
Was it watching Rutgers on tape and feeling some apprehension in how they matchup? He wanted no part of any AK8 discussion.
I'd say nervous about the game, much, much more so than excited and anxious to destroy Rutgers. And maybe he's laying in the weeds and that's the impression he wants Rutgers to get.

Greder suggests that Athan's corrected something the PJ said about his son in the presser today, but I don't pay the PP for news.

that that's the first question says everything one needs to know about our local sports media

I think is is known that he doesn't like to discuss players that have left the program. I personally view it as a smart policy. What good can come of it?

Yep...no point on dwelling on the past and players that have left.

Definitely a little edgy. That's the PJ Fleck you need. The guy with the chip, the crack. The guy with the fire.

If you like nice weather and a warm fall day this Rutgers game is it as far as weather goes. This is gonna be nice weather like the Maryland game was. Hoping for a Gophers win, as Rutgers is gonna be a challenge. AK playing well and Rutgers has really good receivers. We saw them play and know they can put up a lot of points. Ciarocca will have a good scout on our Gophers so being unfocused and out of position or poor tackling is not an option Saturday. Nestor the CB said he feels like Gophers are one of the better defenses in the country and hold up to those teams. Saturday is a day to prove that the Gophers defense is as good as they say. You know what they say talk is cheap, and B.S. even cheaper, or b.s. walks. It's time for Nestor and the Gophers defenders to walk the talk they have put out there. You want to be a measuring stick, back it up.

Backhanded?

Either you don’t know what “backhanded” means or there is more badgerman fandom than gopher fandom in your user name. And I’m pretty sure which it is.
It was backhanded. PJ didn't want to talk about it so he falsely commented that a guy has been in a system for 5 years. He could have said that he and his OC have developed nicely together.

PJ's issue is likely more with dad than the kids, which is how it goes at the youth, high school, and college level. It's also why Sander's kid dropped to the 5th round.

Actually what they say is talk is cheap, action wins the prize.
