Interesting comment on Lofton, the mention of community service sounds like there must have been a legal issue.
Or an ask from Pitino to have him better himself.
Unfortunately he missed an entire season he could have been practicing with the team... My guess is he will be the backup to the guards we are currently recruiting....

Get Ellison and Mulder and Lofton likely isn't a fit. Miss and the possibility increases.
Winasota, do you want to make a gentleman's bet that Lofton rock and rolls next season?
Neither are coming and couldn't play with Lofton if they did. I certainly understand to most on this board watching film is akin to learning Chinese. Just say to yourself......I think I can....I think I can....I think I can.

Good read. Definitely seems like Lofton has at least a 50/50 shot of being on the team when the season starts.
"Listen, let's see how you do in class and with some community service -- a bunch of things -- and see how it goes. Not making any promises, but maybe we'll re-evaluate it later on.' It's a long shot certainly"
And the door has cracked open a bit, I think as long as Lofton handles his business he has a very good chance to see the floor.Hence the I didn't wanna leave him high and dry.

Agree with this I think we would have to miss on Ellison, Jolly, and Mulder for Lofton to back unless he is willing to be a walk-on.Exactly... It's whether or not we get another wing/guard recruit. I doubt he gives minutes to Lofton that would normally go to one of his younger recruits. He's the insurance policy. If he was a senior eligibility wise I would suppose a scholarship would be made available for him a lot easier. He's a two year risk right now... Already got stung by that one I suppose.

I think we have a good shot of landing Ellison and Jolly has said he plans to take a visit here as well.I think Ellison is the only one of those 3 that we have a chance at getting. Walking-on sounds like a good option for Lofton too, especially since this seems like the place he wants to be. Gotta love that kinda enthusiasm

I think they are both good players but my gut feeling is we only take 2 recruits this spring a SG/SF type and a PF type.It is a possibility that we get them both not sure how quickly they would contribute, but those 2 would seem to be good for our recruiting class.
