Ha! I sure butchered those up.
I do it all the time. I guess you could say I'm not the sharpest train in the dock.

Do we know what the story is behind Pitino dressing down one of his assistants immediately after Michigan got the easy bucket to go up 4? Did any of the reporters ask him about that?
Easy to analyze by listing apparent faults. How would you handle it, Bo?
I think Pitino needs to develop some set half court plays so that the team can rely on them towards the end of the game or when ever the game is stacking up on us.
I like pitinos offense when players are able to make plays, but they crumble when their expected to develop a result under pressure during their posession.

1-3-1 trapping zones are very tough to run a set play vs. I thought Pitino and he players for that matter executed well against that zone save a few stupid turnovers. Had we hit the first couple corner threes that were wide and a few lay ops that were missed its a different game.
The first 3 years at Duke, Coach K's conference record got progressively worse toward abysmal. It's early. Let's sit back and see if Pitino can right this ship, pull it out of the ditch and get it back in the fast lane. I'm a big fan of mixed metaphors.
I'm really, really interested in how Pitino is going to handle this. Does it become a more of a mess or does he right the ship and make something out of it? He related to the Louisville game more than a few times that it was such a good learning moment for the team, This is, in my opinion, a huge learning moment for him. All new territory for him. I think successful coaches do their best coaching when in fixes like this. He's got to keep it out of the ditch and get it back on the road.
Okay, I picked this one...you guys shouldn't be watching basketball if you can't tell the difference. We have bad players. We have a very good coach. We have fragile players in over their head. You all thought they were good players playing AT&T State. The difference is the competition, not the coaching. If he yells at the players, yanks them out of the game they are not strong enough to rise up and say I'll show you. You need patience until we get new players. We will play better with 5 of 7 at home and maybe magically it will turn around but if it does he is Big Ten Coach of the Year because we have very limited resources. And if you can't see the improvement in Mo and EE, there's no hope for you. Improvement can't fix their inherent weaknesses.

•This is a fault of both the players and their coaching. Blowing double digit leads in 3 out of 4 B1G games is atrocious.
Can you cite the three Big Ten games the Gophers have had double digit leads in? Thanks.
While Blitzkrieg is correct in spirit- he is wrong on the facts. We led by 9 against Mich (momentarily 10 but it wasn't true) and we led by double digits against Purdue. OSU- well that's just a game you have to win and we blew it was well but certainly never led by much of anything. Point is- when the game has been on the line in all three games- we didn't play good basketball and lost.
I agree the Gophers haven't finished games, but let us at least be somewhat accurate. I see no need in resorting to hyperbole in the midst of this. All he has to do is say the Gophers haven't finished games. But, instead, he fibbed by quite a margin. He said we led three of the four games by double digits, when the fact of the matter is we have led ONE B1G game by double digits. We led by 9 at Michigan, never led after the 17:00 mark of the first half at Maryland, and led exactly once (70-68 in OT) against Ohio State after the 16:00 mark of the first half.
Were all of the games at one point in the balance? Yes. Were we leading by double digits in 3 games? No.
We led by 10 at Michigan for several minutes in the second half, until the refs put another point on the board on a review during a tv timeout.
