per the Pioneer Press:

First-team offense:
TE — Brandon Lingen
LT — Josh Campion
LG — Jon Christenson
C — Brian Bobek
RG — Connor Mayes
RT — Jonah Pirsig
TE — Nate Wozniak

QB — Mitch Leidner
RB — Rodrick Williams
FB — Miles Thomas
WR — KJ Maye

(When Gophers went with three wideouts, Drew Wolitarsky and Eric Carter came into the scrimmage.)

First-team defense:
DE — Theiren Cockran
DT — Scott Ekpe
DT — Steven Richardson
DE — Hank Ekpe

OLB — Jack Lynn
ILB — Everett Williams
OLB — De’Vondre Campbell

CB — Briean Boddy-Calhoun
S — Demarius Travis
S — Antonio Johnson
CB — Eric Murray

(When the Gophers went with the nickel package, Jalen Myrick came into play outside corner, shifting Eric Murray inside and over the slot receiver.)

Second-team offense:
TE — Jerry Gibson
LT — Alex Mayes
LG — Joe Bjorklund
C — Tyler Moore
RG — Isaac Hayes
RT — Foster Bush
TE — Noah Scarver

QB — Chris Streveler
RB — Berkley Edwards
FB — Tyler Hartmann
WR — Desmond Gant

(Obviously, third and long will produce a much different personnel group from both the second team and the first.)

Second-team defense:
DE: Julien Kafo
DT: Yoshoub Timms
DT: Andrew Stelter
DE: Gaelin Elmore

OLB: Jon Celestin
ILB: Cody Poock
OLB: Julian Huff

CB: Myrick
S: Duke McGhee
S: Ace Rogers
CB: Craig James

(Interesting to know that defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys ties to stay away from strong safeties, free safeties, boundary corners, field corners, will linebackers, sam linebackers, etc., etc. He said players for the most part can’t be moving to the strong side or weak side of the formation because of the pace some no-huddle opponents play with.)

Go Gophers!!

Thanks for the write up.

I haven't paid much attention this spring or fall yet -- it seemed like Campion was going to be LG, Melvin Holland was going to play a role, Cody Poock was being talked up as our starting ILB. Are these new changes or expected?

Also, is this a permanent change for Connor Mayes to RG or is the plan to get him to C eventually?

Lauer is hurt so Campion moved back to LT. Connor Mayes is in for Campion.

No mention of Alex Keith this fall. Is he hurt or just 3rd team.?

Was it with 1s or 2s specifically? (His name isn't on the OP depth chart)

Would I be wrong in saying that that second team would beat our first team from 2011 or 2012? Michael Carter may be the only player at that stage who is head and shoulders above his counterpart on this team. Streveler and Berkeley would run wild on either defense.

Neither at this point. He will see the field, but by the sounds of Kill this morning he has to catch up from all the time off.

Is this the deepest defensive line you can remember? They will be able to rotate and limit defensive snaps.

We're deep at DE assuming Keith is healthy but I'm still a little concerned about our DT depth. There was a pretty big drop off last year from 1st to 2nd team.

We have never had this kind of depth. Guys were playing both ways the last time we were this good or better.
