per the PiPress:

Cobb had a strong second half with 57 of his 91 yards rushing, but for the second straight season his return to his home state was bittersweet in a 21-17 loss to the Orange.

"Maybe we just don't need to come to Texas," Cobb said. "It's frustrating. You don't want to go into the offseason like this. You don't want to come here two years in a row and lose. It's more about focusing and getting off to a fast start."

Go Gophers!!

PLEASE! I hope Jones comes here. Cobb had his worst game. He missed so many easy cuts for long runs. There are three specific ones that if he just cuts left we probably win the game. That's how huge it was.

The guy played his heart out all season including last night. To David Cobb, congratulations on an outstanding season and thank you for chosing to leave Texas for Minnesota and to play for the Golden Gophers. It's been a pleasure to watch you play. Good luck with the rest of your career here in Minnesota. You are definitely loved!!

I remember screaming "left! left!" too. But this year he emerged from the pack and had a very good year for the Gophers when they desperately needed someone to step up. And another year to go.

Cobb was tripped after 8 yard gains about 4 times. Those Syracuse Linebackers were lucky.

I'd love to see Cobb get a NYD Bowl win in Florida next year. I certainly would not have ever run for 1000 yards in the B1G, maybe all of you guys did. We need two 1000 yard backs next year and I'll bet Cobb is one of them.

We have to pound the rock. Over and over and over.

Cobb plays his heart out. He is a winner. We know that because he shows how losing hurts. Don't fn pile on. 15 yard penalty.

Cobb and the Gophers will get another shot at a victory in Texas on 9-13-14 at TCU. I bet he shines.
