per Greder:
The Gophers’ thin offensive line has avoided a serious injury scare to starting center Jared Weyler, who left Saturday’s 48-14 victory over Oregon State with an apparent lower left leg ailment.
“We’ve got to be able to be smart with him, but no, it looks like he is going to be OK,” said Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck, who didn’t provide details of what happened to Weyler.
On a fourth-quarter drive, Minnesota running back Shannon Brooks and an Oregon State defender rolled onto the back of Weyler’s leg. Fleck and trainers attended to him on the field, and Weyler didn’t need much assistance getting off the field.
