The ruling should not take this long. Ridiculous they hold all hostage waiting on a answer
By rule, he is ineligible
Why should they rush to overturn their own rule?

Because it would not be rushing. Good grief. Ncaa proves once again it is an organization that picks winners and losers.
it's insane that they have given no response. At least say he sits.
Coyle better be raising holy heck with the NCAA - first NC gets away with academic fraud and now we are getting this delayed crap on carr.

6 months ago I was ok with the idea of Carr sitting. It seemed fair, per the rules. But after watching the ncaa grant every waiver under the sun for other teams, for mostly weak reasons (usually finding some relative with some, any purported ailment) it no longer seems fair to make Carr sit. From what I’ve read, he has a better reason for transferring than many of those guys.

UCSB >> MN
Would a potential starter for one of the blue bloods be put in this position? Guess I have no idea, but would highly, highly doubt it.
Back in 2015, 5-star freshman Cheick Diallo at Kansas didn't receive a decision on his eligibility from the NCAA, due to concerns about impermissible benefits, until after Kansas had played 4 games, at which point it was determined he would be suspended for one more game and then be eligible to play after that. A little different because Diallo was an incoming freshman and Carr is a transfer, but yeah.

Totally agree, NCAA is awful!
Apparently Teddy Allen at Wichita State has also been neither approved nor denied with regard to immediate eligibility after transferring, and the Shockers play tonight.
But it's only awful when its Minnesota

On the radio broadcast last night, Grimm alluded to the delay being in no small part to Pitt dragging their feet and/or straight up contesting the waiver because they are salty that he left. I get being unhappy with a talented player leaving, but its not he like he went to a rival or something. Not sure what they gain other than complicating a young man's dream.
