Florida State promised a state-of-the-art players lounge, and it delivered.

On Friday, FSU director of football operations Mark Robinson tweeted pictures of the Seminoles' brand-new lounge, which features table tennis, an arcade, a pool table, a movie theater with leather seats, a dining area and Direct TV.

Go Gophers!!

Kind what many the big schools have. Nothing special.

They forgot to show us the picture of their all you can eat crab legs buffet line in Famous Jameis Dining Hall.

What a disgusting waste of money, private or public.

The movie theater looked like it cost about $2500. There's nothing crazy in that whole place.

Ummmm pretty sure those students bring in more money for the school than that. And they aren't paid for it

In the future, please direct all comments regarding this topic to its proper thread:
"Daniels twins decommit". ; )

Why didn't they show pictures of the stripper poles?

It looks like a Chuck E. Cheez remodel. Have they got a ticket redemption center?

Looks a bit tamer than most that have come out in recent years.

That is a really weak "arcade".

I think they'd have been better off with three or 4 ps4's, as many big screens, 4 controllers a piece, and some bean bag chairs to go around'em. Course most kids probably have those in their dorm room/apartment anyway.

So our new facilities, when they're built, will more than likely align us with our peers in the Big10. How long before we're 'behind the times' again - 10 years? I just hate that we are the biggest city in the conference and we can't be the standard setter as far as facilities. I know Minneapolis is more concerned about being a great city overall, but you'd think we could throw several million at the U to make it competitive.

I thought these guys were being worked to death by the plantation owners? No time to go to class, I've heard.

The U is funded at the state level, not the city level. If there is public money it will come from there. The City has enough real needs for its budget than to help the football program buy 85 players a new lounge.

How come there's no title ix problem with them building an arcade only for the football players?

That's basically what the bowling alley/Gopher Spot did in Coffman a couple years ago. They used to have a great selection of arcade games and pinball machines. And then replaced it all with 1-hour rentals of different video game systems. It sucked. Rarely saw anyone using them. Like you said, I think most people who cared already had the systems haha.
