Brackets are now set ... make your predictions!
Predictions will be due by 10PM Wednesday, March 11.
It works like this:
- Select a winning team for each bracket; points are scored for each correct prediction as laid out in The Small Print (see below).
- If you predict the winner in each game, you could receive as many as 55 points.
- In the event we have two or more G'holers who score the same number of points, the tie breaker will be closest to the actual score. (See the Small Print section for an explanation of how this calculated).

It's impossible to summarize the predictions but each day I'll confirm the names of G'Holers whose entries are recorded and at the end of the day provide updated standings, etc.
The Small Print:
Scoring:
- 3 points for each correct prediction of the winning teams in Thursday's "play-in" brackets (games 1,2 and 3);
- 5 points for each correct prediction of the winning teams in Friday's Quarter Finals (games 4, 5, 6 and 7);
- 8 points for each correct prediction of the winning teams in Saturday's Semi-finals (games 8 and 9); and,
- 10 points for correctly predicting the Champion of the 2008 Big Ten Conference Tournament
Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected by whoever has predicted the winning team and whose predicted score is closest to the actual score. The closest score will be calculated by subtracting the predicted scores from each team's actual score. The absolute value of those differences shall determine the total variance. If there is still a tie, the winner will be the closest to the winning team's actual score. And if there is still a tie, co-winners will be announced.
The top five places for Predict the Tournament will also receive points toward the Predict the Score contest. (1st place receives 15 points; 2nd place receives 10 points; 3rd place receives 7 points, etc. All who have tied scores for places 1-5 will receive the same number of points. No "participation points" will be awarded.
Changing Predictions: No changes will be accepted unless you have made an error and selected a team that is not in that bracket. In that event, please send me a private mail by clicking on my moniker. Let me know what you need to change and I'll make the changes on the master sheet.
Multiple Entries will not be accepted and your first entry counts as your final entry.
