Go Gophers!!

Not really funny at all if you are someone from the mostly African American communities that were most devastated from that hurricane. What a despicable comment.

Politically incorrect but very funny!

There is nothing funny about that. Katrina destroyed lives, and devastated that part of the country, tying it into a football game in any way shape or form is just stupid.

Bama fans are all class.

Seems to me we beat Bama the last time we played. In a bowl game no less.

I hate to tell you this but Katrina was indiscriminate in her destruction. To imply my comment was somehow racist demonstrates that you are a complete dumbazz.

This post is one of the worst ever on here. Why bring race into this thread. Not everything in life has to do with race. You'd be better off if you figured that out.

I have a humor compass that has been pretty easy for me to follow. I consistently find topics related to deaths, rape, etc. to be decidedly unfunny.

What does race have to do with a hurricane?

Anyway, the city of New Orleans knew it was coming for hundreds of years and didn't prepare for one of them--citizens included.

A whole bunch of teams are called "Hurricanes". By your standard, that would be as racist as "Fighting Sioux".

It's not funny or appropriate, but on a somewhat related note how much longer until we stop hearing about Katrina every time New Orleans hosts a sporting event?

Lot's of tool-bags here. For the record, it IS funny and it IS appropriate for the setting.

Stop taking yourselves so seriously.

Takes one to know one. I wonder if you would find this so funny if it was your family who was killed, homeless or destroyed by a natural disaster. Agree that race has no place in this conversation. I had the unfortunate experience of going to a game where the opponent was Alabama. Their fans live down to the hillbilly stereotype and remind me of Becky fans with a twang. There is a reason their main cheer has only 2 words. Go LSU

Both of these fan bases are relentless. LSU fans are just as bad if not worse than Bama fans. This rivalry is as nasty as it gets in college football, so I'm not surprised at all to see a sign like this.

OMG, don't start with your Minnesota liberal politics.. Plenty of white people and folks in bama were hit by Katrina too.

I'm going to have to do some searching, but i'm pretty sure I saw LSU fans trolling bama fans about the tornado that
hit Tuscaloosa in 2011.. So all that considered, game on.

I wonder if Leonard Fournette saw the sign. I believe he and his family were heavily affected by the hurricane and basically lived on a bridge for a few days. I bet he'll be playing hard.

Sports fandom is where humanity goes to die.

I think such things are funny once everyone that is affected finally dies. Of course, we'll be told that the next seven generations are affected, so that will be around 2165.

"Finish was the blizzard of '65 started!!!"

Some of you on here are awfully sensitive. Chill out, jeezus it was a freakin' sign...who cares?

Alabama does have a two word cheer, but it is "Roll Tide".

LSU yells "Geaux Tigers".
