Got these from Gopher Football Social Media accounts.

Anthony Smith practicing for the bowl game. Hearing that he might be back next year for the Gophers.

Also note a picture of Koi. I haven’t seen any pictures of him in any posts recently. Could be wrong tho.

Anywho, always a good sign when the teams posts pictures like this. In my opinion.

Anthony Smith back for the Gophers would be great for us! Lots of people saying this draft is very weak and next years draft is possibly deepest ever....so probably not in his best interest to return?

Depends on how much he sees his stock rising... Right now, I assume he's a late day 2/ early day 3 prospect. Even in a stronger class, does he think another year in college could push him up to day 1/ early day 2?

Well, he led the 18 team Big Ten in sacks with 10.5. He was first team ALL BIG TEN, so not sure it isn't a gamble to attempt to have a better year.

2nd according to the B1G website behind Jacas from Illinois with 11. Curry from Ohio St. also had 11, but it looks like he got 2 in the conference championship so I'm not counting those.

Like I said, depends on how much he sees his stock rising. He might very well see things the same as you, or he might not.

Anthony Smith seems like the type of young man who loves the college experience, loves the Gopher Culture, loves Fleck / coaching staff, loves his teammates and loves college football. Could he make decent money by staying another year? Could he improve his stock by sticking around one more year? Would he be on everyone's preseason All-American team? We all know he would make the team much better and more competitive. Could we go 10-2 and flirt with a playoff bid? At Indiana, at Washington, at Penn State, Michigan and Iowa. Can the Gophers go 3-2 against these really good teams? I think Indiana and Washington are going to be tough on the road. I think Penn State, Michigan and Iowa are winnable with what we have returning and with the return of Anthony Smith. I wouldn't be totally surprised to see Smith come back. We get some key players in the portal, the Gophers have a chance to be pretty good. Just my 2 cents.
