i love the generosity of everyone. The fiance told me that after we get married, she will look into the idea of letting me take some of the money we receive and use it for a weekend to Minnesota to take in a game!!! I can't even explain how ecstatic I am even thinking about stepping foot on the campus. I will probably shed a tear upon me entering TCF Bank Stadium. I'll let everyone know whats going on with me and my trip. I will probably need tips on eating, sleeping, beer, ect. I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it. I'm an emotional Gopher fan...somewhere someone is driving my old car with a nice dent in it from the Texas Tech meltdown :)

I hear ya man. Totally keep us informed on your plans when you make the trip up. Would love to have a bunch of GHers rockin' out some beanbags prior to the game where we layeth the Maroon and Gold smacketh down!
 



Underwhelmed

It's up now. Sort of disappointed... Why not keep the video up that they had on the preview page (before the site was live)? Or is it there and I'm just not seeing it?

Also, you click on "Facilities" and they've got a picture of Campbell, Lawrence and Weber - two guys gone for more than a year, and another a departed senior (not to mention what's his face... #99 that graduated last year as well on the home page).

Gopher Media Folks, you've had how long to build this (including a countdown), how about at least using pictures of players on the current roster?

Not to be fussy, but come on...

Off of the facilities page, I do like the panoramic "view from the 50" - pretty sweet...

A big plus: it's the best footage of the Gopher student section that I've seen (even if it is for about one second of the video). I hope one day the entire crowd gets into the Zombie Nation song. My opinion - in two years of gopher fb at TCF, the only time they've have timed the playing of that song correctly was the Iowa game when they played it just before the start of the 4th quarter, just after Sweet Caroline (which I still don't understand why the music person has hitched himself/herself to that song as THE song between the 3rd and 4th quarters).

Sweet Caroline is a song that all fans can relate to. Look around. Most everyone gets into it. I hope they continue to use it.

Most of us old duffers don't recognize a lot of the "noise" they play.

BOOOO!! Totally dissapointed. Hopefully this site is a work in progress and they HAVE to put that video back up.
 



Not normaly a complainer but....

Terrible execution. Short on content and clumsy navigation. What is with the floating articles randomly placed over the images? *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#show for the eyes.

I wasnt crazy for the Play4Brew site either, but far less amature than this new site.

I know the intent is to wow potential recruits, but our facilities speak for themselves. Spend more time on content and less on bold navigational elements.
 

Meh, I like it. I can find the articles just fine, I like the 'Coaches' page layout.. It's kinda 'messy', but still somewhat easy to navigate.
 

FWIW, the video everyone loves is back up. They announced it on the U's FB pages this AM.
 

It's been up for a day. I can give it some time.
