BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — X-rays taken Saturday night after Indiana's 38-24 loss to Cincinnati revealed no damage to Indiana quarterback Michael Penix Jr.’s right hand, and coach Tom Allen said Monday that he “should be good to go” this weekend at Western Kentucky.

Penix, who throws left-handed, was hit late in the fourth quarter and was seen holding his right hand/arm while he was coming off the field.

Hasn't looked as sharp after fast comeback ftom latest acl.

He definitely doesn’t look like the same player, so far this season.

Hard to come back from a knee

People also forget he only played 1 game against a team with a winning record last season
He was 5-1 as a player but in the games they won the opposing teams record was a combined 13-23

I bet he looks better against bad teams this year too. They’ve played a tough schedule. He was only a 56% passer last year. His best game last year in my opinion was against Ohio state. He hit 53% of his passes.

Hate to see kids get hurt like that. He was such an exciting player last year.
