Pat Forde: Josh Selby story exposes one-and-done

I think Pat Forde is a great writer for espn and this is a fantastic article. Just my 2 cents

I wonder why Bob Knight, in his infinite wisdom, didn't use Kansas and Josh Shelby as his example of the wastefulness of the one-and-done rule?

Agree 100%

They need to ditch the age requirement ASAP in the NBA.

The NBA probably doesn't want these kids, for every one that makes it their are five that don't. Why don't they allow 19 year olds entry to the development league for a year. That way they won't be waisting their resources and time and will have a better idea of a players chance to make it. Baby sitting in college isn't the answer.

Because Kentucky has made it their MO. Hell, I could coach those kids...throw out a ball and have at it.

Self's public opinion on selby is much different than what he is telling people privately.

The baseball system has always been the best model and would work just fine for basketball.
