I don't want to hear any of the following next year in Kill's fifth year as HC:

-Our QB is young and inexperienced. If so, then that's on Kill and staff as in the fifth year that shoudn't be an issue
-Our WRs are young and inexperienced: See the above.
-We don't need to have a prolific passing attack we run the ball. Bsh$t. We need to be able to throw the ball so let's actually do so during the non-conference games to when we need to during the B1G season we're ready to go.
-Mitch is our leader and our guy. Bsh$t again we need to sit him down and come up with a better option. There were 100 D1 QBs who would have won this game for us today.

God, I'm pi$$ed with how we let this opportunity get away from us today. We are so good in so many phases of the game I can't believe we let this one slop away from us.

With the Thread title we should really allow this to stay blank.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they'd have to be on the roster..

What was Leidner thinking with that fumble at the end of the first half? And why did our defense let them go 49 yards in 3 plays. I think our offense and defense showed exactly how bad they wanted this game in that garbage sequence.

Is it too much to ask with the division and a trophy on the line for your qb to complete at least 1 out of every 3 passes he attempts? With Leidner, I guess so.

Yep Washington state sure wins a lot of games, oh wait.

We have no receivers. You guys seem to forget that. KJ Maye had a decent end to the year, but Wolitarsky hasn't been seen since game 3 and Jones hasn't caught anything since the flu last winter. Leidner is okay at QB and will be the QB next year. The question is will any of the freshmen we redshirted be any better than the below average receivers we already have. I'm afraid the answer is no, because Kill has never been afraid to play a better younger player. Which means it won't look much better next year. Better hope we can find guys to replace the production of Damien Wilson and David Cobb.

I'm not saying we need to throw as often as WSU does. I am saying that when we do decide to throw it, it needs to be caught more often than 1 out of 3 times in our biggest game of the season.

I'm sure Kill is disappointed like the rest of us. We've come along ways since last year. Remember it is one brick at a time. It will get better.

Agree. Worst WR corp in B10. I wonder if Jones will even be back next year. Has some talent but I don't see the effort. Didn't look he really wanted to be out there today; wearing that baggy long sleeve undershirt like it freezing.

If we want to find a good QB, the best odds are to pull one from Texas or California. Those states have produced the most current starting FBS and NFL QBs. I know that Leidner was a good QB in MN, but these guys would be just average in TX or CA.

Why is this? Spring ball and summer 7-on-7. Heck, TX even has sanctioned 7-on-7 in the summer with a state tournament. The coaches aren't a part of it, which forces these QBs to think and understand the playbook.

MN is going the other way. The MSHSL will soon be limiting how much practice and contact you can have with your players, much like the NCAA does.

Kind of a tough spot. Stronger receivers would certainly help. But how do you recruit strong receivers to a team that is focused on the running game and whose QB runs a 37% comp ratio? The strong receivers are going to go to teams where they can play a bigger role.

Cupito or Weber win that game. In fact, half of our QB's from the last 30 years win that game.

We've had nothing short of miserable passing QB's since Kill has been here.

Why? Is it that hard to find a QB who can throw.

I like Leidner, but it would be nice to have the forward pass as a consistent part of our offense.
