MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS
Nov. 13 – FLORIDA GULF COAST (310)
Nov. 17 – GONZAGA (26)
Nov. 20 – TOLEDO (317) (Legends Classic)
Nov. 22 – VALPARAISO (261) (Legends Classic)
Nov. 27 – vs. Florida (54) (Legends Classic)
Nov. 28 – vs. Massachusetts or Rutgers (Legends Classic)
Dec. 1 – at North Carolina (3)
Dec. 4 – WOFFORD (172)
Dec. 7 – at The Citadel (175)
Dec. 10 -- OAKLAND (122)
Dec. 19 -- IPFW (228)
Dec. 22 -- at Texas (41)
Dec. 30 – TEXAS-ARLINGTON (187)
Average RPI of Opponents: 158
Average RPI of Home Opponents: 202.875
NCAA Qualifiers (3): Gonzaga, North Carolina, Texas
Top 100 (4): North Carolina (3), Gonzaga (26), Texas (41), Florida (54)
Projected Opponent: Rutgers (196) at Legends Classic
The Good?: A veteran Sparty squad will get severely tested on the road, playing in both Chapel Hill & Austin. If the Spartans win both games, feel free to pencil them in as a lock for a #1 seed.
The (not so) Bad?: Hopefully John Kundla will get to see his grandsons go head to head, as Isaiah (MSU) and Noah (Wofford) square off December 4th in East Lansing.
The Ugly?: Am actually a little surprised MSU's schedule isn't more difficult. Other than Gonzaga, the Izzone should be pretty mild until the Big 10 season starts. It doesn't help Sparty that the Legends field is weak, as Florida, Rutgers & UMass don't figure to be in Sparty's league.
