C) they hit the portal as soon as they're worth moneyBen getting all these kids to commit.
Either A) that keeps him around longer than needed or B) they hit the portal when he’s fired
Can’t figure out if I should be excited for the class or not lol.
Recruiting is meaningless. There's unrestricted free-agency every year for every player now.How do we get a recruit to commit and then its so depressing reading all the comments here? lol
We're an excellent feeder club.We could become a Good feeder club!
No one takes ESPN ranking seriously.....Wouldn't get too excited yet....not one recruit is in the top 100???

Per Doogie, USC told him weeks ago "we're good" on him and didn't particularly want him.Who cares. Another fringe prospect. Beat out real power 5 teams then it's a good one. If you are beating out mid majors and other terrible power 5's then the kid is probably fine, but no one to get excited about.
I won't get excited for a recruit until you are beating out Mich State, Ohio State, UNC, Arizona, etc.
Not to say this kid won't be good, but be honest, he is coming here because he knows he will play and likely hopes he can move on in a season if he does well. Most likely sitting everywhere else.
Based on...?2025 class looking pretty good now
I feel like he's going to rise in ranking before the season is done.
Not after choosing the Gophers. That’s not the way the system works.I feel like he's going to rise in ranking before the season is done.
Money talks and Parker walks.Recruiting is meaningless. There's unrestricted free-agency every year for every player now.
He looks like he’ll be a legit P5 level player based on those highlights.
And then Gavin Newsome laughs...Money talks and Parker walks.
I am pretty sure they don’t get anything until they are on campus, registered for classes, and meet a predetermined criteria for payment. Otherwise there would be examples of high school players taking the money but not attending. Now you have a mess to deal with in trying to recover the $.In the NIL era, does anybody know if the players start getting paid when they sign a letters of intent? If so, isn't that a binding contract?
A prime example of why I don't frequent this forum very much anymore.Who cares. Another fringe prospect. Beat out real power 5 teams then it's a good one. If you are beating out mid majors and other terrible power 5's then the kid is probably fine, but no one to get excited about.

Pretty sure the payment agreements are determine by the collective and spread throughout the Academic year. Would be pretty rare to get anything before they are enrolled and attending classes but it could happen for some of the highly sought recruits that command big bucks. Wasn't there speculation that some recruits were demanding compensation for visits.I am pretty sure they don’t get anything until they are on campus, registered for classes, and meet a predetermined criteria for payment.
