I know people like to rip on there being too many bowls, but hey, more football = good. The bowls really get going today with a few solid matchups and we may be seeing a future Vikings QB going up against USC.

Colorado State and Washington State. Anybody see the Washington State QB trash talk the Colorado State sideline
after throwing his first TD pass?. He got right in the face of the coaches. The F - bombs were flying from the CSU
coaches.

Growing up a Pac-10 fan, we had a saying for when teams choked:

"Coug'd it."

Did they ever today.

I liked the end of this game much more than the last Mike leach game I watched. The endings were almost the same onle this time I wasn't sitting in Tempe cussing to myself.

So the Pirate's team fumbles away the game in the 4th quarter to lose to a bad Colorado State team. What a terrible way to finish your season! No class, trash talking and then they end up losing. I guess their team reflects their coach! LOL

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. What a loss! Good discipline Wazzu. Every now and then Karma gets ya.

Leach and WSU a great example of how a team reflects its coach. Not only did they fumble after the review, but they only ran about 5 seconds off the clock when they could have run 35. CSU had no time outs. Washington State broke the penalty record, too.

An undisciplined assh*le and his minions.

Yup. I hear it fairly often at youth sporting events here in Western Washington. Nothing like a good Cougar choking to make it even more popular.

Watched the 2nd half of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl between SDSU and Buffalo.

Brought to mind the old joke where instead of playing "guess the attendance" they played "name them". Couldn't have been 1,000 people in the stands.

On the other side, the New Orleans Bowl had a great crowd. I know it featured two local teams (Tulane, LA Lafayette) but it was still impressive none the less.

I liked this game, too - and think of the good food at tailgating parties!

Watching Beef O'Brady bowl. Looks like there are about 500 people in attendance....okay so a bit of an exaggeration but I can't remember ever seeing a more empty stadium for a college football game.

Not sure who sets the days and times, but 2pm on a Monday is a ridiculous start time. I imagine they couldn't have the game during the MNF game tonight, but a 5:00 start time would have made a little more sense anyways.

really looking forward to the next few days when the bowl season really picks up!

Boise got absolutely destroyed last night. Peterson gone, Mojo Gone, Future Gone...

Goodnight Broncos.

Oregon St. looked pretty good though...

Bowling Green has just about the ugliest uniforms I've ever seen and this Connor kid from Pittsburgh is pretty good, but he chirps more than a canary.

NIU 7 Utah State 13 with 11 min left. NIU kicker missed two field goals. Utah State's defense is very stout.

Lynch is no better than P. Nelson imo. Wow, this is hard to watch

I don't know about better or worse, but their patterns are similar. Little patience to go through the progressions and instead tuck-and-run, but maybe that's how the offense is designed. I did notice that the NIU pass blocking seems to be a sort of pass/run combination that provides the QB with easily-identifiable running lanes. Problem is USU was totally collapsing the pocket and Lynch was having trouble getting to the second level where his speed and strength turn him into a smaller version of Mike Alstott.

It did make me wonder about our passing scheme a bit.

When it doubt in bowl games, go with the team that plays better defense.

The MAC is now 0-4, and it's not like they're playing the cream of the crop in their bowl games. Included are losses to 5-loss San Diego State (Buffalo), 5-loss Utah State (NIU), and 6-loss Pitt (Bowling Green). Thankfully Bowling Green beat NIU in the MAC title game because NIU has proven they're nothing more than a nice little team. Utah State's D made NIU look quite pedestrian.

Could the additions of Maryland and Rutgers be anymore underwhelming than right now? Maryland is about to lose to Marshall. Rutgers will probably lose to Notre Dame tomorrow.

I thought that they were both underwhelming additions.

Kick-off on the way!

Wow. That sideline reporter is very attractive.

Rutgers is holding their own vs Notre Dame in Yankee Stadium. Not bad.

True freshman QB Shane Morris looks like he will be a stud for Michigan.

2014 Big Ten on the verge of going 0-4 in bowls
