Entertaining game.
Tennessee seemed to try to ...not win after that too...wtfHoosiers totally unprepared for that onside kick. Poor coaching there.
The thing is they show highlights at halftime during the regular season for much less exciting games. During the Rose Bowl, they would have to only show highlights of 2 games. Instead they show highlights of 1 & an additional clip of Saban throwing fruit to his players.I noticed that during the Rose Bowl as well. I get ESPN is pro-SEC, but I don’t get how skipping the highlights because the SEC team lost makes sense. I figured their assumption is that Nationally folks aren’t that interested in either team.
What? I went to bed last night thinking Indiana had the game won. I looked at the game details this morning and the win probably meter got as to almost 98% for Indiana.

Yeah ... I think Gopher fans especially know how Indiana feels about now ... not gud.Damn. Sure wanted Indiana in this one.
Van Pelts numbers seem off. I don’t believe 10-4 is correct but someone double check that. The SEC has had a better record but not that lopsided.
I did the same thing. the last thing I saw was the ESPN showing highlights of their last bowl win in 1991.
If you think our football program history was brutal, consider this. Indiana fired their Bill Mallory in 1996 after 2 losing seaons. This was after 13 seasons & 6 bowl appearances (in the era of much fewer bowls). Prior to the 2 yr slide, they finished 0.500 or above in 7 of 9 seasons. 4 of those seasons they won 5+ B10 games. Since then, Indiana has had 6 coaches with an overall record of 98-173 (0.361), and been only 4 bowl games in 24years.
Coincidentally, we fired Jim Wacker that same season (1996), and also had 6 head coaches since. we hired Glen Mason (IU hired Cam Cameron). Our record during the same period is 134-141 (0.487) with 16 bowl appearances.
Tom Allen seems to be making some good progress, but the loss last night has to be a major punch to the gut for the Indiana fanbase.
Anyone see this during the Gator Bowl last night? About when did this happen? Did the refs catch it?
Moving the ball ahead
The Idaho Potato Bowl is about to start ... at 3:30 ET ... on a Friday.
What a dumb timeslot.
And that was after the ball was spotted ... and corrected after a first down.Anyone see this during the Gator Bowl last night? About when did this happen? Did the refs catch it?

What a stinky way to end bowl season ...It's the only bowl today, being played in MST so a 2:30 local kickoff, when they could easily have had a 7 or 8 PM kickoff in primetime.
They follow that up tomorrow with the ARMED FORCES BOWL, in Texas, with a 10:30 AM local kickoff when there are also no more bowl games tomorrow...
