Purdue guard Rashunda Jones enters transfer portal

Purdue women's basketball sees another player exit the program today, sophomore guard Rashunda Jones.

Purdue has been hit hard by the transfer portal this off-season, with Jones becoming the sixth Boilermaker to enter the portal thus far. Jones joins the likes of Sophie Swanson, Jordyn Poole, Amiyah Reynolds, Mila Reynolds, and Jayla Smith.

The latest departure out of that group now leaves the Boilermakers with just six players on the roster for next season, at the time of this writing. Only incoming freshman Keona Douwstra and returning senior Madison Layden are set to be in the backcourt for Katie Gearlds and company in 2025-26, but the Boilermakers are aiming to revamp the roster via the transfer portal

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women's basketball head coach Katie Gearlds welcomed the first new signing ahead of the 2025-26 season with the addition of guard Taylor Feldman.

Feldman spent the last three years at Northern Arizona, where she was a unanimous First Team All-Big Sky selection last year.

"We're pumped to welcome Taylor to the Boilermaker family," Gearlds said. "She is a versatile guard who can impact the game with her scoring, passing and defensive skill sets. We knew from our first conversation with her that she should be a Boilermaker."

A native of Tustin, Calif., Feldman appeared in 101 games with 43 starts for the Lumberjacks. She averaged 8.8 points per game during her time in Flagstaff, Ariz., going 88-of-266 from behind the arc (33.1%) and shooting 38% from the floor and 80% at the line

Wisconsin women's basketball loses final starter from this season to transfer portal

The Badgers will likely have a completely new starting lineup next season following the departure of their point guard, who said Tuesday that she's leaving the program.

Avery Howell from USC has committed to Washington. I don't like that at all for us. I felt like we couldn't defend them this year with Hart on the floor, but we struggled badly on offense without her in the half-court. Hopefully, with Braun back and eventually Woodson, we can match up better with their smaller shooting and movement-focused lineups. Now they have another fairly switchable defender -- even if she's not super elite -- who shoots the lights out. Yeeesh.

A couple of good gets for Washington. Washington and Maryland winning the BIG transfer portal battle...so far, although I agree that Maryland's Merkle and Garzon may hamper Frese's preferred up-tempo style of play. Gophers winning the retention battle, although Michigan keeping most of their key players also...except for the starting center who transferred to Washington.

Washington Adds Pair of Big Ten Transfers

For almost 2 weeks it seemed that Washington Women’s Basketball was blissfully unaware of the existence of the transfer portal. That changed in a good way this morning as the Huskies announced the signings of USC transfer guard Avery Howell and Michigan transfer C Yulia Grabovskaia.

The bigger name for most fans will be the addition of Howell. The Boise, ID native is returning to the Pacific Northwest by coming to Washington after a single season at USC. She was a top-25 national recruit and found instant success for a Trojans squad that earned a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Howell came off the bench as a true freshman to average 7.5 points per game on 39.9% 3-point shooting playing behind star Juju Watkins. After Juju’s ACL tear mid-tournament, Howell started USC’s last 2 games and averaged 13.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game.

It was a more critical roster need for the Huskies to bring in the 6’5 Russian-born Grabovskaia. She spent last season as the backup center for Michigan where she averaged 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks per game. That came in just 13.5 minutes per game though. If she were to start for Washington and play more regular minutes then it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her average closer to a double-double.

Washington absolutely had to bring in a transfer center after all 3 of Dalayah Daniels, Tayra Eke, and Brenna McDonald all graduated. That trio played almost all of the minutes at the PF/C spots for Washington down the stretch. Tina Langley has 5-star player Brynn McGaughy coming in as part of a loaded recruiting class but McGaughy is expected to be more of a scoring PF than a rim protecting center (which is where Grabovskaia comes into play). Also joining McGaughy in the 2025 recruiting class are 3 players including #68 ranked G Bryn Martin and #71 ranked F Nina Cain.

Oregon has landed its first transfer of the offseason.

Avary Cain, who averaged 1.5 points in 8.4 minutes per game at UCLA last season, committed to transfer to UO on Thursday. A former five-star recruit, Cain has three years of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-1 guard shot 23.8% from the field, including 18.9% from three, and averaged 0.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 18 games off the bench this season. She played sparingly, with over 107 of her 154 minutes coming in nonconference games, and scored in just five games, with a season-high eight points against Pepperdine and UT Martin.





Cain was one of four freshmen in the No. 6 recruiting class at UCLA last season. All of them entered the transfer portal this month.

Cain attended Saint Joseph High School in Santa Maria, California, where she averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game as a senior. She was ranked No. 26 overall in the Class of 2024, according to ESPN HoopGurlz.

She is the first player to commit to transfer to UO this offseason. Cain’s addition gives the Ducks 13 scholarship players in 2025-26, including nine guards, with five seniors completing their eligibility.

Nebraska Women’s Basketball has locked down its second transfer portal commitment for the day and of 2025. Former Northwestern guard Hailey Weaver announced her commitment to the Huskers three hours after Kansas State forward Eliza Maupin‘s commitment on Monday, April 14.

Weaver has one season of eligibility left after playing three at Northwestern. She left the team to focus on graduating and sat out the 2024-25 season. The graduate student will play her final season at Nebraska

The Wisconsin women's basketball team received some good news today with the commitment from forward Gift Uchenna.

The 6-3 forward is joining the Badgers after spending last season as a member of the Southern Illinois women's basketball team. While at SIU, the former Saluki averaged 14.5 points per game and an astounding 12.8 rebounds per game, which was the second-most in the country behind LSU's Aneesah Morrow (13.5 rebounds per game). She also added 2.1 blocks per game.

Ohio State women’s basketball adds T’Yana Todd in transfer portal

The former Boston College sharpshooter brings consistent three-point shooting to the Buckeyes

With one week remaining in the transfer portal window, the only news coming out of Ohio State women’s basketball was outgoing players. That changed Tuesday when former Boston College guard T’Yana Todd committed to the Buckeyes. Todd announced her decision on Instagram Tuesday afternoon.

Todd is a 6-foot guard out of Ontario, Canada who brings a deep shooting threat to the Buckeyes. In 32 games for Boston College during the 2024-25 season, Todd started 29 games and averaged a career high 13.7 points per game.

Not only did Todd lead the Boston College Eagles in scoring but also the entire ACC in shooting efficiency from beyond the arc at 45.9 percent. That put Todd fourth in the country.
