Northwestern dropped its home opener 77-81 to Illinois State

Iowa won its home opener 91-73 over Northern Illinois. Feuerbach with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 steals

Iowa will get better! And getting a starter back will help. However it NEEDS to be a win for the Gophers.

Some scores of interest:

Iowa defeated Virginia Tech 71-52. O'Grady was 9-9 for the Hawks and Rose Micheaux had 12 points and 7 rebounds for the Hokies

Notre Dame crushed Purdue in West Lafayette 102-58

Maryland looked good defeating Duke in College Park 85-80

And I assume Northwestern looked terrible losing to Lehigh 85-68 in Evaston

After opening the season with losses to Illinois State and Lehigh, Northwestern defeated Utah in Evanston 71-69. Jenna Johnson with 15 points and Gianna Kneepkins with 14 points for the Utes

Nebraska beat North Alabama very easily, however Natalie Potts suffered a non contact injury. I think knee.

A turnover led to a fast break opportunity for North Alabama. Natalie Potts retreated to cut off the scoring chance, but when she turned to contest the shot, her knee gave way and she collapsed to the floor. She was eventually helped to the locker room as a number of teammates were visibly emotional.

"She's pretty upset," Nebraska coach Amy Williams said after the game. "Her teammates are pretty upset. We'll just kind of wait and see, once she's had a chance to be evaluated, where we go from here."
Potts returned in the second half to sit behind the bench in street clothes, aided by crutches. Williams said the doctors did not make an immediate determination of how long Potts will be out

I actua
I actually just went and found it and watched it. Unfortunately it did not look good. Huge bummer.

Confirmed ACL…. I watch enough basketball to know right away, but you always have hope for these kids.
