At times in both the Rutgers and Purdue game, I thought we might be looking at overtime. Then I tried to remember the last overtime game at TCF/Huntington Bank Stadium and I couldn't remember any. But that seemed strange so I looked it up.

I checked the latest media guide and unless I missed something, the Gophers have never had an overtime game in TCF/Huntington Bank Stadium. They have played in eight overtime games since 2009, but they have all been on the road. The last OT game at home was in the Metrodome in 2007 (they actually had two at home in 2007).

Was Purdue one of the 2007 ones? Didn't Cupito score on an option or something crazy

2007 Purdue was a game in which I was watching at the Hilton sportsbook in Vegas. I was standing & cheering a blocked FG getting returned for a TD, only for Jamal Harris to drop the ball while running, which resulted in the entire sportsbook pointing & laughing at the Gophers & me.

I did the only thing I could: I sunk in my chair & tried to avoid shame. Ranks as one of my most embarrassing moments as a Gopher fan.....

On topic, when was the last Gopher OT game? My memory is thinking 2020 @ Maryland, in which we botched the PAT for the loss....

I still have the media guide open but I didn't need it for that one. It was Northwestern in 2023. I was at a relative's wedding in New York keeping track on my phone. Gophers went from a 99% win probability to losing in overtime.

Ah yes, forgot that one. Coughed up lead & easy 1 play TD for NW for the win.....

The good thing about being at a wedding during that game was the open bar.
I was at a wedding years ago, during the summer, and on that day, a good friend got married to the love of his life, and they have built a beautiful family, with 3 children that are all wonderful. It was a beautiful day.

I also found out that day that our offer was accepted, and my new wife and I would become first-time homeowners, and as a surprise, she was waiting until the reception to tell me that she took a test and was pregnant with our first child. The day really couldn't get any better.

And on top of that, if you can believe it, I also found out that my best friend had just gotten the test results back and his cancer was in remission.

The best thing about that day was the open bar.

I thought for sure there was an OT loss for Kill at the Bank vs a MAC team but I could be wrong.
