All in all, not a bad temporary situation for the 2 remaining Pac 12 schools, especially if Gonzaga stays put.

Yes, they worked out a deal with the Mountain West for football. But essentially they’ll be an independent.Weren’t they working on a football scheduling arrangement, too?
Good for them holding firm and establishing their rights in the conference. The two year break gives them time to figure out the long term.
Poor Chicago State. They have sure done their share of traveling for conference games. With Oregon State & Wazzu's expected (temporary) move to the WCC, here's what realignment looks like (so far) for the 2024-25 college basketball season. Currently 20 of 362 programs will have new locations.
To ACC: Cal, SMU, Stanford
To ASUN: West Georgia (new to D1)
To Big Ten: Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington
To Big XII: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Utah
To Conference USA: Kennesaw State
To MAAC: Merrimack, Sacred Heart
To NEC: Chicago State
To SEC: Oklahoma, Texas
To WCC: Oregon State, Washington State
Easy access to airports though.Poor Chicago State. They have sure done their share of traveling for conference games.
