Weren’t they working on a football scheduling arrangement, too?

Good for them holding firm and establishing their rights in the conference. The two year break gives them time to figure out the long term.

I know a little off topic here, but thought it would be interesting to check out the extent of Gonzaga's WCC dominance in recent years.

Gonzaga has won 20 out of the last 25 WCC tournaments.

Gonzaga has been WCC conference champs 19 of the last 25 years. Has shared the conference championship 4 years. Only 2 years has Gonzaga not had at least a share of the conference championship.

Maybe the new blood will make things a little more interesting.

Yes, they worked out a deal with the Mountain West for football. But essentially they’ll be an independent.

To ACC: Cal, SMU, Stanford
To ASUN: West Georgia (new to D1)
To Big Ten: Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington
To Big XII: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Utah
To Conference USA: Kennesaw State
To MAAC: Merrimack, Sacred Heart
To NEC: Chicago State
To SEC: Oklahoma, Texas
To WCC: Oregon State, Washington State

Poor Chicago State. They have sure done their share of traveling for conference games.
