I was watching sports center last night and the were rightfully critical of the player; then they followed that up with players fighting in a college hockey game...and they were giddy?

I understand that it was wrong, but if the OSU kids were getting anywhere near the hose job that our Gophers got on Saturday, I can empathize with the frustration.
It doesn't make it right, but I can empathize with the frustration.

I didn't think so. 22 fouls called on Indiana and 17 on Minnesota. 12 attempts from the line for the Hoosiers and 30 for the Gophers. And, not a foul called on Murphy the whole game, which is definitely to Minnesota's advantage. Keep him in the game.

Back to the OP, wow! Everybody can see it.

The dude was still adamant that he didn't do anything all the way into the locker room.

Guy should get a minimum suspension of six games, but knowing the way of the world he won't get more than 2.

I was just going to post this as well. Afterwards he makes him self look even dumber by throwing his hands up in the air like he didn't do anything.

I was watching that game when it happened. no doubt it was on purpose. Kid should be gone for the rest of the year. No place for that SH.T

For the rest of the year?

It was a dumb, spur of the moment, reaction. Suspend him for a game, but the whole year is excessive.

The bigger concern, for the kids sake, is that he tries to lie himself out of his culpability. The kid needs to grow up and own his actions. He can do that without being removed from basketball for the season.

It was a stupid move that cost them a chance to win. The frustration had brewed all game with blatant homerism leading to a 24-10 foul differential. He is a good kid that has overcome the death of his mom from stomach cancer at age 12, almost dying during his senior year in HS from a heart issue that came up in college again, and Sickle Cell anemia. The ref in question had been fired by the NBA.
A severe suspension is in order, but hopefully not for the year. If you think the officiating is bad in the B1G, you need to check out the PAC.

I fully understand the technical foul call. But they also called it a Flagrant 2 - I thought you could only get that kind of foul on a player by contact with another player, not an official. The technical was the player's fifth foul, so he was already out of the game regardless.

That's the biggest thing for me as well. Doing something stupid is one thing, but then lying about it is another. No one in their right mind can say that wasn't intentional.
