Opting out of bowl game

This team seems pretty committed to each other. Some surprising 6th year returners coming back as well. Really liked this team this year.

Wow great news. Who would think we’d see fewer opt outs for the guaranteed hate bowl than we had for the Outback Bowl?

and yes, “hate” was not a typo. I wish the Gophers were in a deserved better bowl this year.

Yeah Faalele missed the game but he was unavailable anyway due to injury against Wisconsin IIRC. Shannon Brooks obviously was out for unfortunate reasons, but I don't remember any straight opt outs. We did have a couple the year before in the QUick Lane Bowl - Cashman and Greene?
