Similar to what PJ said ahead of the PSU game about the players having EARNED the right to play in games of that magnitude. I’m looking at what opportunity PJ has in front of him:
Say we are able to finish as West Champions and go win the Rose Bowl.
All of a sudden PJ can walk into a recruits house and pitch:
- Top 10 finishes in the last 2 seasons with fans in stands
- Wins over high profile PAC team in Rose Bowl for west coast exposure, and over Auburn in 2019 for southern exposure
- NFL draft picks at basically every position… WR (multiple), RB if Mo declares, likely multiple OL this year, Mafe drafted would make multiple DL, LB, CB/S…
I think this is exactly where PJ planned to be at this point and exactly what he was envisioning when he came here. There aren’t many recruiting pitches that are going to stack up against what PJ could sell, and all of a sudden top 10 to top 15 recruiting classes look very realistic.
