Looking back it seems like all maroon has been the most common combo for openers.
2013 vs UNLV, all maroon
2014 vs Eastern Ill, maroon helmets and pants, gold jersey
2015 vs TCU, Maroon helmet and jersey, gold pants
2016 vs Oregon St. all maroon
2017 vs Buffalo, all maroon
2018 vs New Mexico St., all white because of their uniform malfunction
 

Yeah last year wasn't really a choice by the Gophers as the other team forgot to pick 2 day delivery.
 

I might be the only person who likes the Full Snowman. I'm not ashamed.
 




I liked the white jerseys they wore vs New Mexico St last year.

It's the only combo of this uniform set I actually like, and I'm not a fan of all white uniforms.

Any insider tips on what the Gophers are wearing tomorrow?

Anthracite would be a bold choice for an opener.
 



Shiny gold helmets with no oars, white jerseys, maroon pants. Names on the back. Audacious metallic gold shoes. For all the games home and away.

Fleck said it's the equipment manager, the leadership council, and him.
(I would guess it's a lot of Fleck).
 

I've accepted that the oar on the helmet is what it is.

But for the love of anything anyone holds dear ..... PLEASE forbid them from putting "MINNESOTA", "GOLDEN GOPHERS", etc. as the nameplates!! S-T-U-P-I-D !!!! TACKY!!!


Just leave off the nameplates, if you aren't going to have the players' names!! Or put the players' names. Either are acceptable.
 

Bring on the f&cking anthracite. Get it over with now in the non-conference season.

Have we used that combination in the Fleck era?

It would sort of harken back to the Warmath/Rose Bowl early 60s era.

Edit: looking at a few old images, they may actually have worn white-maroon-white in the Warmath era.
