why didn't the band play Jump On It?!? Next game hopefully!

Oh, and I know it's actually called Apache, but I like the Sir Mix A Lot version better.

I was thinking the same thing. The one thing that separates college sports from the pros are the students and band, and it's especially great when they're doing something together. I really like the Apache/Jump On It thing.
The band didn't do their normal third down pump the fans thing up, either. There was way too much piped-in music overall for my tastes.

Apache hadn't been rehearsed yet. Several fans requested we play it, but we (disappointingly) couldn't yet...
Also, the band is told when the third down is going to be a generic "from the scoreboard" thing or whether the band will play...I agree, I think there were too many canned stadium 3rd down thingers last night. Hopefully they're getting it figured out as to what a good balance is.
