Probably wont happen but I like Hammock. He did a great job callling plays the last few weeks and maybe was our best recruiter.

I wouldn't mind having a bulk of the offensive coaching staff back. The Davis, Hammock, Horton combo seemed to gel as the season wore on.

You know, not every new HC cleans house when they come to town. Oftentimes the
experienced ones realize the value in some consistency. What Brew did when he
blew into town really cost him, I think.

I would like to see some of these guys back. If its Brady Hoke, I think he will give
some of them some consideration. He's been around the block and knows some of
these guys have been also.

I'm hoping Horton stays.

From what I understand Hoke doesn't really have a staff to bring with him & he's not known as a great recruiter. If we could retain Horton, Davis, Hammock & Cross I'd like this hire a lot more.

Davis is the guy I really want to stay. He's known as one of the better OL coaches in the country and seems to be a good recruiter.

I'm not sure, but I thought I read that Hoke built a great staff at San Diego State, but that they weren't guys who had followed him from Ball State. I know Brian Sipe is on his staff now and one of the reasons he was hired (besides being a very good college and pro QB) is that he was a San Diego State graduate.

I wouldn't be surprised if he looked at the staff--especially the offensive staff--in trying to build some continuity.

I have a hard time believing that Hoke would come to MN without Al Borges (OC)
